I hope you are enjoying the summer! I prepared a list of 5 things I think you will be interested in today…
FIRST, I want to share an article that my father wrote about the Salem, Oregon water contamination issue. This is a very interesting issue, and it absolutely illustrates why you should only be drinking water from a good water distiller. The problem in Oregon right now is microcystin (a type of cyanotoxin) which is a toxin produced by blue-green algae in ponds and lakes. As you know from my training classes, biological contaminants, such as bacteria, algae and parasites can be killed by boiling the water. Microcystin though is a toxin that the algae produces, so if you boil the water you will kill the algae, but you will actually concentrate the toxin in the water. These toxins are potentially very dangerous for your liver and kidneys, so you do NOT want to consume them. Distillation is the best way to protect yourself from these toxins in water. Read my father’s article here.
If you are looking for a water distiller for the home, I recommend these distillers.
The Survival Still is also a great way to protect your water supply.
SECOND, this is a very interesting interview that was on Radio New Zealand a few days ago. Dr. Michael Mosely wrote a book on “Gut Health”. I’ve not read the book yet (I have ordered it) but this interview was fascinating and it gives you an insight into a very important factor of health that simply wasn’t understood until very recently. Check it out here.
THIRD, you know that I am paranoid about online security. Here is a video that a comedian put together that explains how “phishing” scams work and how they can even be used to get around two-factor authentication. It’s very educational, although the comedian is not funny. I can’t tell if he’s trying to be funny or not.
FOURTH, do you own a business or have a product that you’ve developed? If so, I want to invite you to a brand new online class that I am putting on about some key lessons that I have learned over the years about online marketing. I think you will learn a lot from this class! The class will be next Tuesday at 3pm in the afternoon. Register here.
FIFTH, this is the song I’m listening to right now (from John Mellencamp and Carlene Carter). It will put you in a good mood!
